Jerrob Hungar: must admit I have been a bit concerned not seeing your name grace this space, however I understand all the variables of life, space and time ...especially sine you are confined to a room with no windows, rubber walls, a straightjacket, and not enough meds. However, you still survive! Wonder-Full! How-the-heck did ya get internet access(?)!!! Pure genius, I'm sure.

"ganges," was my first "real" contact here when I discovered this anarchy two years ago. All I asked was for one tune, "Throw Out The Life Line." Naturally, as you know, he immediately supplied me with multiple versions....all the way from the "Black Forest!" ... I trust you are doin' well, ol Friend. Am listening to the following on the GROK this evening:

Still searchin' for the life line,

Hail fellow survivor well met. How good it is to receive your welcome words here in Limboland. They let me out for the day to see the leaves turn golden in the october sunshine and see if I can find a signpost to that elusive life line ;¬)
My time management skills have been lax lately and when I do get the chance to log in I seem to do more lurking than contributing. For instance, when I read the words of Throw Out The Life Line and listened to the song, I had to find out more about the author and discovered how Jerry had adapted it to remove the christian references and alter the third person to first person in one verse. And so I ponder the significance and follow links that might shed light in the strangest of places if I look at it right. And so the time goes and I end up posting an unfunny play on words.
I've also been pondering your recent foray into the subject of 'grace'. Its amazing how much internet material has been generated from this simple little word and interesting to read the responses here and on Sky Depot. And then there's the lyrics to Terrapin...
Time has caught up with me again so I leave you with some appropriate words and trust this finds you in goodly form.

Every year is getting shorter never seem to find the time.
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone, the post is over,
Thought I'd something more to say.
:¬)

Ten years ago I walked this street, my dreams were riding tall
Tonight I would be thankful Lord, for any dreams at all
Some folks would be happy just to have one dream come true
But everything you gather is just more that you can lose

All the things I planned to do, I only did half way
Tomorrow will be [_______[], born of rainy [_______]
There's some satisfaction in Grosvenor Square's rain
No matter what comes down, the "mission" always looks the same

Jerrob Hungar: interesting comment regarding how Jerry abridged the lyrics to "Throw Out The Life Line," however, truth be told, the original plan was to pair it with one other gem. It's brethren lyric will be posted here and there ......later.

If it grows, let it flow.

you see...now I'm pondering the significance of the missing words :¬)
and wondering what is the brethren lyric...

A little bit of synchonicity...I listened to the 74-09-21 show yesterday and really enjoyed the 2nd set especially...then while looking for something on youtube I came across this...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gyq9NtRMrk0 ...the sound and vision is somewhat lacking but it still brought a misty smile to my heart.

today I'm an april fool in 1967... http://www.archive.org/details/gd67-04-xx.prefm.vernon.9261.sbeok.shnf ...lovely grub
